Recent State Actions that Support and Expand Palliative Care

Palliative care is team-based care that provides relief from the stress and symptoms of a serious illness. This NASHP interactive map, supported by The John A. Hartford Foundation, highlights recent state actions that support and expand initiatives around palliative care for older adults.

Several states provided funds for palliative care programs and education, and several passed laws that create or expand state palliative care advisory councils or task forces.
